KHC - Distribution and/or Display of Materials on District Property

The distribution and/or display of any written and/or other materials or the carrying and/or posting of signs on any District property that is likely to impact the safety, schedule, work and/or discipline of the school is not permitted on District property or at District-sponsored events.

Any such written and/or other materials distributed, posted or carried must be done so outside the applicable school building, and only within designated areas as approved by the Superintendent.

Any organization or person desiring to distribute written and/or other materials on District property and/or carry or post signs on District property must obtain approval of the Superintendent or his/her/their designee. All approved written and/or other materials must contain identification of the publisher by name and address.

The distribution of, carrying of and/or posting of any written and/or other materials (including but not limited to signs) must be done outside of the school building and only within designated areas as approved by the Superintendent in order to not impact the safety, schedule, work and/or discipline of the applicable school.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, this policy shall be interpreted and applicable only to the extent it is in compliance with the current M.G.L. c. 54 §65 and such applicable Massachusetts State Election laws.
