IMPORTANT HOPKINS CONCERT SCHEDULE CHANGE!
There is a strong likelihood that this next winter storm will intensify during our 5th Grade Music Ensemble concert, originally scheduled for tomorrow evening.
We have determined that postponing the concert until our pre-planned and communicated "snow date" of this Thursday evening, January 26th, is most advisable for the safety of all participants. Thank you for understanding.
December 2022
HHS Jazz Lab, Jazz Ensemble and Concert Band 7 pm at the HHS Auditorium. Available overflow in the newly renovated HHS Library
HHS Chorus and Orchestra 7 pm in the HMS Auditorium. Please note, this is a change in venue for this performance.
November 2022
Dear Students and Families,
The Hopkinton Middle School Music Department is very excited about our upcoming December concerts! Due to the large number of students in our ensembles and anticipated audience numbers, we will be programming the groups in a different format this concert season. Our apologies for the change, however we feel this will have a positive impact on students. Please look at the list below so you will know when your child will be performing.
All concerts will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m, arrival times vary depending on the group and the director
Monday, December 12 Sixth Grade Band and Orchestra
Tuesday, December 13 Seventh and Eighth Grade Bands and Orchestras
Wednesday December 14 Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Grade Choruses.
Students and Parents, please check Schoology for your ensemble arrival and warm up time. As always, concert attire is all black, ankle length.
We would also like to take a moment to welcome Mrs. Connor-Moen, who is filling in for Mrs. Nielsen. She recently retired from the Norwood Public Schools and is one of the finest choral educators in the state. Welcome!
We look forward to having the students perform for you next month.
