Dear HMS Families,
Despite today’s warmth, we had a highly successful debut to the 2018-2019 school year. We thank you for your efforts to make it so.
This morning went extremely well, and we thank you for your cooperation. Needless to say, our goal is to ensure that everyone, parents, high school students and staff, follow the guidelines to ensure the safety of our students and staff throughout the entire year.
With the exception of a weekend respite, it looks like these unusually warm temperatures will stay with us through next week. We were able to provide water bottles to students who did not come with any. If the forecast holds true, I would ask you to ensure your child comes to school with a refillable water bottle or at least two plastic water bottles.
While we are on the subject of beverages, a reminder that we are not allowing drinks other than water throughout HMS (with the exception of the cafeteria during lunch).
On a lighter note, this summer, we worked with Jim Cozzens of HCAM to develop a video featuring the HMS Administrative Team. Our goal was for you to be able to put a face with a name in a (hopefully) humorous fashion.
We look forward to a great Day 2 on Thursday and wish you an enjoyable long weekend.
