Players to watch: Mike Kelly, Kam Campbell and Keegan Campbell.


Outlook: The Lancers lost 10 players involved in last season’s run to the Division III South Sectional semifinals including leading scorer Tom McDermott and sweeper Brian Bettencourt. But Norton still has a host of talented players coming back including senior center midfielder and Tri-Valley League All-Star Mike Kelly as well as last year’s second scoring option sophomore Keegan Campbell. Keegan is joined by his two talented brothers in senior sweeper Kam and freshman Kolin Campbell who will likely play in the midfield.

 

Other talented returnees include senior forward Devin Askew, senior midfielder Nick Salvo, senior goalie Pat Hillman and junior defender Chris Lenihan. Along with freshman midfielder Alex Devolve,

 

Norton head coach Eric Greene hopes that this team can duplicate the success of last year. “It’s obviously going to be tough. We lost 10 seniors last year,” Greene said. “It’s just going to take us realizing we’re a new team, we’re not last year’s team. We’re going to try and build off our new players.”
