School Hours New Secure On-line Payment Option for fees: FY 11 Budget Update: School Committee adopted a preliminary budget figure of $32,419,015 for its FY 11 Budget at the January 28, 2010 meeting. This figure represents an overall increase of 0.5% over FY 10. Click here for more budget information. District Strategic Plan: At its September 3, 2009 meeting, the School Committee approved a Strategic Plan that will serve as a blueprint for district improvement over the next five years. The document incorporates feedback received from staff, a community focus group, the Strategic Planning Committee, and the Steering Committee during the 2008-09 school year. It also incorporates feedback that was gathered from the community in a survey conducted by the Boston Research Group in the spring and summer of 2008. CRIMINAL OFFENDER
RECORD INFORMATION (CORI) Hopkinton Public
Schools is required by M.G.L. c. 71, §38R,
to request criminal offender record information (CORI) from the
Massachusetts Criminal History Systems Board (CHSB) for both present
and future employees or volunteers in any Hopkinton Public Schools
program who have direct and unmonitored contact with children.
Hopkinton Public Schools also must obtain CORI on all school bus
drivers, and on all taxi cab drivers transporting special education
children in the district. Hopkinton Public Schools has been certified
by the Criminal History Systems Board for access to such conviction
and pending criminal case data. Each organization, i.e., schools, scouts, youth soccer, etc. must run their own CORI check for the law does not permit the sharing of information between organizations. The return on CORI’s is 5 – 10 business days and sometimes longer, depending on the demands on the CHSB. You can complete a CORI form at any of the schools main office or the Superintendent’s office during the following hours: Center School 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM – 2:30
